  Should Christians keep the law today? The Old Testament law was given to the children of Israel, not to Christians. The laws in the Old Testament were to reveal three things to the children of Israel:     How they were to obey and please God (the Ten Commandments , for example).     To show them how to worship God and atone for sin (the sacrificial system ).   To make them distinct from other nations (the food and clothing rules ). The Old Testament laws are NOT binding on Christians today. When Jesus died on the cross, He put an end to the Old Testament law.    Yes, he did!! Protection from the Scriptures 2 Thes 3:3- But the Lord is faithful and will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one. Deut. 31:6- Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you. He will never leave nor forsake you. Isaiah 41:10- Do not fear, for I am with you, be not dismayed, for I am you, God. I will strengthen you and help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Hallelujah! A Glimpse of the Seal of God Treasures Ephesian 4:30  Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you are sealed for the day of redemption.  Ephesians 1:13-14 -"In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory." 2 Corinthians 1:21-22- Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and anointed us is God, who also sealed us and gave us the Spirit in our hearts as a pledge.
