TRUST IN GOD
TRUST IN GOD
By Sabrena Fenna
🙏🌟As Born-Again
Child of God, we must “trust in God”.
🙏🌟Proverbs 3:5-6
beautifully summarizes this truth: "Trust in the Lord with all thine
heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge
him, and he shall direct thy paths." ²
🙏🌟Trusting God is
an intentional choice we make to rely on His character, faithfulness, and
promises.
Bible verses that emphasize the importance of trusting
God:
1. Psalm 37:4-6: - "Delight yourself in the
Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the
Lord; trust in him, and he will act. He will bring forth your righteousness as
the light, and your justice as the noonday."
2. Romans 8:28:
- "And we know that for those who love God all things work together
for good, for those who are called according to his purpose."
3. Psalm 9:10:
- "And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O
Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you."
4. Psalm 28:7: - "The Lord is my strength and my shield;
in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I
give thanks to him."
5. Proverbs 3:6:
- "In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your
paths."
6. Joshua 1:9: - "Have I not commanded you? Be
strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the
Lord your God is with you wherever you go."
7. Romans 15:13:
- "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in
believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in
hope."
8. Jeremiah 29:11:
- "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans
for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope."
9. Psalm 46:10:
- "Be still and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations;
I will be exalted in the earth!"
🙏🌟Let us constantly
put God first, seek His kingdom, and trust in His unwavering love and guidance.
How to Strengthen our trust in God
🙏🌟 Strengthening
our trust in God is a beautiful journey that involves both intentionality and
surrender.
🙏🌟Bear in mind
that, trust is built over time. Embrace these steps, and as you walk with God,
your faith will deepen, and your trust will become unshakable.
- Remember
God’s Faithfulness:
- Reflect
on moments when God intervened in your life or answered your prayers.
Hold onto those experiences as evidence of His care and faithfulness.
- Pray
and seek His help in times of need and watch for His movement. Each
answered prayer becomes a steppingstone toward stronger faith.
- Start
a Prayer and Praise Journal:
- Use a journal to record your prayer requests and
the dates you entrusted them to God. When He answers, add those testimonies to your journal.
I have been doing this and is wonderful to see the results of
my prayers been answered!
- Your
journal will serve as a tangible reminder of God’s past faithfulness,
helping you trust Him in present challenges.
- Reflect
on God’s Promises:
- When
faced with obstacles, focus on God’s promises rather than the mountain of
problems in front of you.
- Ask
Him for strength to climb or find a way through. As He leads you to
victory, your trust will grow.
- Trust
God’s Plans:
- Even in difficult circumstances, trust that God
knows your future. Memorize Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you…”
- Life’s
surprises are no surprise to Him. Hold this truth close when fear sets
in.
- Titus
1:2: - “In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began.”
- Hebrews
6:18: - “That by two immutable things, in which it was
impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation,
who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us.”
- Develop
a Habit of Prayer:
- 🙏🌟
Regularly communicate with God. Pour out your heart, share your
struggles, and listen for His voice through the Holy Spirit.
- 1
Thessalonians 5:16-18 -“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing,
give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ
Jesus for you.”
- 🙏🌟
Prayer deepens your relationship and builds trust.
- 🙏🌟 Prayer
is not limited to specific times or places.
- 🙏🌟
It’s an ongoing conversation with God.
- 🙏🌟
Keep your heart open to Him throughout the day.
- 🙏🌟 Pray
about everything—big or small.
- Study
and Reflect on God’s Word:
- Dive
into Scripture. Meditate on His promises, stories of His faithfulness,
and the character of Jesus.

significance of studying the Scriptures: In John 5:39 “Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have
eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.”

needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
