Good vs Evil according to the scriptures

Biblical Definitions:

Good: Everything that glorifies God is considered good. The eternal God is by nature good.

Evil: Anything that rebels against God or glorifies someone or something else falls into the category of evil. Rebellion against the Creator is evil. Evil opposes good, and good exists independently of evil.

Please bear in mind that Good repays the virtuous, but evil chases sinners. The Lord's eyes are upon both evil and good.

The origin of evil

Genesis 2:17….but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die.”

Genesis 3:1-24 Now the serpent was craftier than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Indeed, has God said, ‘You shall not eat from any tree of the garden’?” The woman said to the serpent, From the fruit of the trees of the garden we may eat; but from the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden, God has said, You shall not eat from it or touch it, or you will die.

Isaiah 5:20 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!

1 Corinthians 15:33 Do not be deceived: “Bad company corrupts good morals.”

Romans 2:6-8 who will render to each person according to his deeds: to those who by perseverance in doing good seek for glory and honor and immortality, eternal life; but to those who are selfishly ambitious and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, wrath and indignation.

Proverbs 3:7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and turn away from evil.

Psalm 37:27 Depart from evil and do good, So you will abide forever.

Proverbs 4:27 Do not turn to the right nor to the left; Turn your foot from evil.

James 1:13-15 Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone. But each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust. Then when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when sin is accomplished, it brings forth death.

Proverbs 17:15 He who justifies the wicked and he who condemns the righteous, both of them alike are an abomination to the Lord.

Revelation 16:13-21 And I saw coming out of the mouth of the dragon and out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits like frogs; for they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the whole world, to gather them together for the war of the great day of God, the Almighty.
